Established in 1951 in Guidonia (Rome), the Italian Joint Air Operations School (ItaJAOS) is the Joint Military Institution, hierarchically under the CHOD, responsible for the technical-operational specialist education in Aerial/Sat Imagery interpretation, Air to Surface operations, Targeting and Space. The courses provided by the ItaJAOS are open to active duty students from NATO Bodies/Nations plus AUS, AUT, CHE, IRL, NZL and, upon the NATO Quality Assurance (QA) Unconditional Accreditation (renewed in 2024), the School has been tasked by the Defence General Staff with directly enrolling students onto its own courses. All following ItaJAOS’ NATO Approved/Listed courses, reported in this Catalogue, are also included in the Education and Training Opportunities Catalogue (ETOC) of the NATO Allied Command for Transformation (ACT):
