Master Chief Petty Officer Fabio ALBANO 

Master Chief Petty Officer Fabio ALBANO was born in Taranto on 29 October 1967. He earned a Classical High School Diploma in 1987 from the State High School “Archita” in Taranto and, in the same year, enlisted in the Corps of Military Naval Crews (CEMM), later transitioning to voluntary service.
Promoted to Sergeant in 1989, he served as Squad Assault Commander of the “San Marco Battalion,” also holding the rank of Petty Officer Second Class (1991), until 1996 when he was promoted to Petty Officer Third Class.
From 1999 to 2004, he served as Operations Section Assistant of the Regiment, and in 2000 he was promoted to Petty Officer Second Class.
In 2004, he was assigned as Assault Platoon Commander of the “Grado” Assault Battalion, where he was promoted to Petty Officer First Class in the same year and to Chief Petty Officer in 2008.
From 2009 to 2011, as part of the Allied Exchange Program, he was assigned to the Tercio de Armada in Spain as Logistics Branch Liaison of the SIAF/SILF (Spanish Italian Amphibious Force / Landing Force).
From 2011 to 2015, he resumed duties at the “Grado” Battalion as Anti-Tank Platoon Commander and, starting in 2015, as Support Platoon Commander.
In 2016, he was transferred as Assistant to the Training and Doctrine Office of the Amphibious Department at NAVY GENERAL STAFF.
In 2017, he was promoted to Warrant Officer and, in 2018, reassigned as Assistant to the Operations Office and Personnel Recovery POC of the Amphibious Force Command (COMFORANF) under CINCNAV (Fleet Command).
In 2019, he attained the top enlisted rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.
