Defence Paralympic Sports Group (GSPD)

The Defence Paralympic Sports Group was established on 22 December 2014.

Its badge recalls the emblem of the Defence Staff in its three-coloured version and features the motto "Per Aspera ad Astra" (through hardships to the stars).

Why Paralympic Sports?

Because sports contribute to foster the physical and psychological recovery of our military who, while serving in the national territory or abroad, were wounded or contracted disabling diseases.
Sport practice is a valuable tool to continue to have an active life-style while fostering integration and team spirit.

This project aims at providing a critical contribution toward envisaging a new life project and a more complete social rehabilitation.
