Undersecretary Perego at the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Indonesia

Undersecretary of State for Defence Matteo Perego di Cremnago yesterday has attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Indonesia

“The Italian presence at this important ceremony today is of particular relevance, in the face of a geopolitical context where only international cooperation can guarantee global security and stability”, Undersecretary of State for Defence Matteo Perego di Cremnago stated. The Undersecretary, accompanied by Italian Ambassador to Indonesia His Excellency Benedetto Latteri, attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

“Italy and Indonesia share common values and principles with regard to actively contributing to stability in the Middle East and Indo-Pacific, strategic regions for global equilibria. Our common participation in UNIFIL is a concrete example to this regard: there, Italy and Indonesia are among the first contributors”, as highlighted by the Undersecretary.

This was also an opportunity to meet with the representatives of the Italian industry working in the local industrial environment, aiming to also explore new opportunities for collaboration in the defence industry sector.
