Towards the 2nd of June-Republic Day Poster: Defending the Republic, Serving the Country

Posters dedicated to the celebrations for the 79th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic have been posted in a number of Italian cities.
The poster features the Tricolour, the symbol of the Republic, against the background of a blue sky, and a message: Defending the Republic, Serving the Country.
The motto captures the essence of Republic Day by joining together two fundamental concepts:
“Defending the Republic” recalls the meaning of the commitment of the Italian Armed Forces to protect our democratic institutions and constitutional principles, underscoring the importance of defending the fundamental values of the Italian Republic.
“Serving the Country” highlights the commitment of the servicemen and servicewomen of the Defence to the national community, recalling that the Republic is there to serve the Italian citizens.
