“The Armed Forces in Defense of Our Freedom” is the slogan chosen this year to accompany the celebrations for November 4, National Unity and Armed Forces Day.

This message highlights the inestimable value of freedom: a precious asset that can never be taken for granted, and one that the men and women of the Armed Forces help defend every day, even at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice.

November 4 is an opportunity to reflect on the values and events that have shaped our country, as well as the sacrifice of those who helped build a united and free Italy.
The Italian tricolor, the central element of the poster, symbolizes the country’s unity and the values of freedom and belonging that the slogan aims to represent, uniting Italy’s history, present, and future into a single image.
The slogan thus highlights the role of the Armed Forces in serving the country and the bond that unites those who work daily for Italy’s security and defense.

Celebratory posters dedicated to the anniversary will be displayed in provincial capitals and in municipalities awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor.
