The Minister is in Abu Dhabi for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates

The Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, held a cordial and productive meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Mohamed Bin Mubarak Bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei

"At the center of the discussion were the grave crisis in the Middle East and the Iranian attacks, regarding which I expressed firm condemnation and the solidarity of our country. In such a delicate framework, we support every attempt at de-escalation, the maintenance of the ceasefire, and the ongoing efforts to end the conflict. I therefore reaffirmed Italy's support during this difficult phase. On this occasion, we signed a Letter of Intent aimed at consolidating and expanding cooperation between our countries, marking a strategic partnership that builds upon training, the exchange of expertise, and dialogue between our respective Armed Forces. The UAE are central players for the stability of the Middle East a stability that also directly impacts our own security."
