The Council of Ministers appoints Admiral of Squadron Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto as Chief of Staff of the Marina Militare.

The Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, and having consulted the Chief of Defence Staff, General Luciano Portolano, has approved the appointment of Admiral of Squadron Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto as Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy. He succeeds Admiral of Squadron Enrico Credendino.

A man of institutions, with an exceptional human and professional background, he will skillfully and visionarily chart the course of the Italian Navy, guiding it toward new challenges. My thanks also go to Admiral Credendino for the valuable service he has rendered to his beloved Navy and to our Country,” said Minister Guido Crosetto.
