Defence Minister Guido Crosetto this afternoon had a telephone call with the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

A long, cordial conversation that highlighted the common will to strengthen dialogue and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Italy, not only in the Defence sector.

The discussion included themes like the common commitment to respond to emerging crises, stability in the Middle East and the Enlarged Mediterranean.

On 25 January Minister Crosetto had received Saudi Arabia’s Chief of Defence, Gen. Fayiad bin Hameed Al-Rowaili, who was in Italy fo hold a biliateral meeting with the Italian Chief of Defence.
