It is the Myosotis, the Forget-Me-Not, the symbol chosen to preserve the memory of those who have lost their lives in service to the Country.
Five petals, like the points of the Star of Italy, and a shade of blue that evokes our national identity. A simple flower with a profound meaning, embodying the values of loyalty, love and remembrance.
Worn on the uniform, it is a discreet yet deeply meaningful symbol, expressing the determination to keep alive the memory of those who are no longer with us, to continue to feel them as part of the great #Defence family, and to renew our closeness to those who, every day, honour their memory and feel their absence.
