Defence Minister Guido Crosetto directed the deployment of the Armed Forces in Morocco after the earthquake.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the devastating earthquake that struck Morocco. My sincere condolences to the Government of that friendly country for the heavy death toll. The Italian Defence stands ready to help in all possible ways and modes: our emergency means are already available”, Minister Crosetto said upon learning of the earthquake in Morocco.
