"Italy and Eritrea share deep ties and the common will to increase bilateral cooperation. The Horn of Africa is a strategic area with important effects on the Mediterranean. Our discussion focused on the Mattei Plan, a plan aimed at diplomatic and military synergy and Africa’s technological development”, Minister Guido Crosetto said during his meeting with Eritrea’s President Isaias Afewerki.
