Minister Crosetto Welcomes the Announcement of the Framework Agreement Between Lebanon and Israel

“Deep appreciation for the announcement of the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, reached through the mediation of the United States.

Making the ceasefire permanent is now a priority in order to reduce tensions and open the way to a concrete prospect for peace, while respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as Israel’s legitimate security needs.

The Ministry of Defence will continue to contribute with responsibility and consistency, including through the commitment of its Armed Forces in international missions, working together with counterpart partners and allies to promote stability in the region”. Said Minister Guido Crosetto.
