Minister Crosetto visits Kosovo

Defence Minister Guido Crosetto today was in Pristina for the KFOR (Kosovo Force) Change of Command Ceremony: Major General Enrico Barduani took over command of the NATO-led Mission from General Özkan Ulutas.

Italy has always played important roles within NATO KFOR, and General Barduani is the 14th Italian General to command the mission.

The ceremony was attended by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osamni Sadriu, Italian Ambassador to Kosovo Antonello De Riu, Chief of Defence Staff General Luciano Portolano, Commander- NATO Joint Command Naples, Admiral Stuart B. Munsch and Italian Representative to NATO, Admiral Dario Giacomini.

Minister Crosetto also took this opportunity to greet the KFOR Italian personnel, thanking them for their good job.

Previously, Minister Crosetto had met with his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Güler for a productive exchange of views on themes of common interest.
