“I received a visit from Mykhailo Fedorov, former Ukrainian Minister of Defence, who has significant experience in the field of digital innovation applied to public administration and defence. The meeting provided an opportunity for an in-depth discussion, in particular, on drones, unmanned systems and air defence, as well as an exchange of views on the evolution of the technological ecosystem.
In a scenario characterised by rapid and unprecedented transformations, in which change is a constant, it is essential to seek opportunities for dialogue and the exchange of experience. For this reason, I am pleased that Mykhailo Fedorov has agreed to provide me with his expertise as an Advisor for Defence Innovation.
Today, simply having knowledge of new technologies is no longer sufficient: it is essential to have the ability to adapt organisational processes, rapidly transforming experimentation into operational solutions that can be deployed on a large scale. The changing scenarios and new ways of conducting conflicts require us to make national development and production processes increasingly efficient, combining technological excellence with industrial capacity and the speed of response needed to address future challenges.”
This was stated by Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto.
