Minister Crosetto met with the US President's Special Envoy for Ukraine

Today in Rome, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto met with the US President's Special Envoy for Ukraine, Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg.

The talks focused on supporting Ukraine and ensuring global security. The meeting confirmed Italy's commitment to peace, reconstruction, and defending the international order.

"A ceasefire is the first step towards restoring hope to the Ukrainian people. Only in this way can the conditions for a just and lasting peace be created," said Minister Crosetto. He added: "Italy will continue to contribute in a concrete manner, strengthening its commitment to stability and supporting a nation that is subjected to increasingly intense attacks every day. In today's interconnected world, we need a shared, forward-looking strategy. Security can no longer be confined to the Euro-Atlantic region; it is a global responsibility."
