Bilateral cooperation between Italy and Kosovo, the stabilisation of the Western Balkans, the hope of a rapid accession to the EU.

These were the topics discussed during the meeting between the Defence Minister, Guido Crosetto and his counterpart from Kosovo, Armend Mehaj, which took place this morning at Palazzo Esercito. It was a long and cordial meeting during which Minister Crosetto stressed the attention to the Balkans, confirmed by the commitment of the last 20 years in the KFOR mission.

"There are deep ties between Italy and Kosovo", said Minister Crosetto.

The Minister of the Republic of Kosovo thanked Italy for its commitment both to the NATO KFOR mission and to the EULEX mission (European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo).
