Minister Crosetto meets his Belgian counterpart Francken
Defence Minister Guido Crosetto met today in Rome with the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Belgium, Theo Francken.
"A valuable discussion on issues related to European security and an opportunity to explore new areas of cooperation in the defence sector, with particular attention to the training of the Armed Forces, combating hybrid threats and the industrial sector. Focus also on development and stability in Africa as well as crisis areas including Ukraine," said Minister Crosetto, who then added:
"As founding members of the EU and NATO, Italy and Belgium are linked by a deep friendship that is now being renewed in a solid and concrete collaboration, which is essential for tackling the most complex international challenges together."
