“The Carabinieri Corps is a part of Italy’s history.
For over two centuries, it has been a pillar of our democracy, but above all, it represents the faces of the men and women who have chosen to dedicate their lives to others.
Being a Carabiniere means taking on the responsibility every day to protect citizens, being there in difficult times, and becoming a point of reference for entire communities.
When we see the Carabinieri uniform, we know we are not alone.
And it is this deep bond with Italians that makes the Carabinieri unique in the world: no other armed force has such close, daily, and human contact with the population.
Rimini, in these days, is not merely hosting an association event. It is hosting a large community united by the same values: a sense of duty, love for Italy, a spirit of service, and loyalty to the institutions. Values that are not erased upon discharge, because one remains a Carabinieri for life.
The epaulets are not merely a symbol sewn onto a uniform: they become part of one’s identity, of one’s very being, of one’s soul.” So said Minister Guido Crosetto in Rimini on the occasion of the 26th National Gathering of the National Carabinieri Association.
