Minister Crosetto in Paris took part in the Defence Ministers’ Meeting in 5-country format with his colleagues from France, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom.
“Constructive, important dialogue with my colleagues from France, Germany, Poland and the UK. We took this opportunity to confirm the need of working together more than ever to strengthen international stability and cooperating in NATO as well as the EU to guarantee that Ukraine may achieve peace and be a democracy able to defend itself also in the future. The good news of the Jeddah agreement is now waiting for an answer from Russia on a much desired truce, which, once established, will oblige us to work even more for its consolidation. We are also working so that Europe assumes greater responsibility with regard to its defence and the security of its citizens, while reaffirming the need to build an ever-stronger NATO”. Thus Minister Crosetto in the margins of the meeting.
