"It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who had honored me with his friendship for many years. His leadership marked a decisive phase in Qatar’s development, helping to enhance the country’s role and prestige on the international stage. I extend my most sincere condolences to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar."
