Defence Minister Guido Crosetto this morning attended the third edition of the International Scientific Conference on CBRNe (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosive risk). The event took place at Istituto Superiore Antincendi. It was organized by Rome Tor Vergata University and Associazione Hesar, and was attended by a number of authoritative speakers.
In his opening speech, Minister Crosetto underscored the importance of the event, and Italy's cutting-edge position in the CBRNe sector.
“The country must be ready to tackle unforseen scenarios and risks originating from that sector", Minister Crosetto said, underscoring that “education, cooperation and synergy between the institutions and academia are fundamental to stand ready in the face of future threats from the CBRNe sector, and mitigate relevant risks".
“Initiatives like this one – he added- allow us to prepare for the future, foreseeing emerging threats".
