“Europe does not need more bureaucracy, but rather swift decision-making and operational effectiveness. Amid hybrid warfare, cyber threats, and global crises, no country can act alone. We need continental security that extends to non-EU partners as well. NATO remains the cornerstone, but a more autonomous Europe strengthens it. Spending alone is not enough: we need common requirements, interoperability, industrial development, and a ‘European Defense Shield.’”

So said Defense Minister Guido Crosetto at the EU – European CHOD/NAD Conference, addressing the Chiefs of Defense Staff and National Directors of Armaments, as well as their designated representatives, from the countries of the European Union.
