Fresh medals for the Italian military athletes at the Military World Winter Games taking place in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Private 1st Class Alba De Silvestro won silver in the ski mountaineering competition.

A silver medal also went to Private 1st Class Federica Cassol and Customs Police Private 1st Class Caterina Ganz in the Women’s Team Freestyle Sprint.

Giorgio Giuseppe Porpiglia, from the Defence Paralympic Sports Group (GSPD) won bronze in the Alpine ski giant slalom race.

The day also saw Army Corporal Giulia Randi winning silver in the climbing-speed competition.

63 military athletes are representing Italy at the 2025 CISM Military World Winter Games.
