The 20th edition of the Carabinieri Corps Italian Mission (MIADIT- bilateral Training Mission for Somali and Djibouti Police Forces) has recently ended with the Award Ceremony of the first training cycle, held at Idriss Farah Abaneh National Police Academy in Djibouti. The first 39 attendees from the National Police and Djibouti Gendarmerie received their diplomas for successfully completing their training.
Djibouti authorities underscored the very high professional value represented by the Carabinieri Corps, and the quality of courses conducted to train and strengthen the technical and operational capabilities of the Djibouti Police Forces.
The activities, in fact, have increased the technical and professional preparation of the attendees who have benefited from the competence and expertise of the Italian instructors.
The training cycle provided courses dedicated to a number of themes, including Human Rights and Judicial Police Techniques for Female Personnel, aimed to improve the investigative approach with regard to female victims of crimes and gender violence.
MIADIT 20 activities will continue with courses scheduled for the springtime, that will allow improving the operational capabilities of the National Police and Djibouti Gendarmerie.
