The Suva Reke/Suhareke municipality saw the conclusion of a Civilian Military Cooperation (CIMIC) project, implemented by the KFOR (Kosovo Force) Regional Command West (RC-W), with the engagement of the Italian contingent, mainly made up of Bersaglieri from 1st Regiment- Cosenza.
In particular, the donation included computer equipment for Iliria Primary Public School, located in the municipality, at Savrovo/Savrove village.
The project aims to improve school capacities and adapt the curricula to European standards, making services more interactive to counter early school-leaving and cultural gaps.
The donation falls within a number of activities conducted by the KFOR Italian contingent to support the development of local institutions.
Kosovo Force, in compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution n. 1244/1999, concurs to maintain and protect a safe and secure environment as well as freedom of movement of all communities living in Kosovo, by conducting operational and support activities in favour of the population, under the lead of the Join Operations C ommand.
