KFOR: “SECURITY AND COORDINATION CONFERENCE”

Recently, the security conference organized by Regional Command West (RC-W), KFOR multinational contingent led by 1st Regiment Bersaglieri, took place at Camp “Villaggio Italia” military base. 

The “Security and Coordination Conference” was organized by KFOR RC-W to coordinate the ongoing cooperation among all the main actors, at the National and International level, who support security in Kosovo. 

The conference works highlighted the practice and lessons learned from the activities carried out by first, second and third Kosovo Security Responders (KP, EULEX, KFOR), as well as contributions provided by other International Organizations, OCSE and the United Nations Mission in Kosovo in particular, in order to discuss the modalities to be adopted  to deepen and enhance mutual cooperation, share information and inform the public opinion on specific priorities, joint patrolling being one of the first together with the commitment to local communities, freedom of movement, road safety and preventing incidents.

Road safety was one of the key themes of the meeting, which also aimed to increase and strengthen road safety culture among the citizens of Kosovo. 

KFOR Italian Contingent operates in compliance with United Nation Security Council Resolution 1244/1999, thus contributing to maintain a safe, protected environment and ensuring freedom of movement for all the communities of Kosovo.
