Defence Minister Guido Crosetto with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda at the Italy-Lithuania Defence Industry Forum, held at the National Armaments Directorate.
"Today's event is an important opportunity for mutual recognition, where our respective institutions and companies meet as strategic partners, united by the responsibility to build security, autonomy and credibility together," said Minister Crosetto, who then added:
"I express my sincere gratitude for the distinguished presence of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, who lends prestige, value and profound meaning to the initiative, strengthening the bond between our communities. Our countries share talent, skills and vision: it is up to us to put them to work, transforming potential into capability. Today is an opportunity to chart a course that is not only industrial but also political."
"Our commitment," explained the Minister, "must be twofold: to invest with foresight and to cooperate intelligently. Italy will always stand by Lithuania. Let us work together, with courage and ambition, to build a defence capable of expressing credible deterrence. Today's challenges cannot be faced or overcome alone: the key is collaboration. The memoranda signed are the first step in this direction: to activate solid and structured cooperation between our countries, capable of generating a partnership for the future of European defence."
