Italy-Algeria Inter-Governmental Summit

“During the Italy-Algeria Intergovernmental Summit, in the presence of President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni and President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune, I and the Secretary General of Algeria Defence Ministry, Mohamed Salah Benbicha,  have signed a Joint Declaration  regarding the Cooperation Agreeement in the sector of Defence signed at Rome in 2003.
The collaboration between our two countries takes place within a strategic vision aimed to guaratee regional security. Cooperation between the Italian and Algerian Armed Forcesi is part of a broader framework directed to tackle common challenges, such as terrorism and transnational crime, while contributing to stabilty in the Wider Mediterranean”.
