Today the Universal Declaration of Human Rights turns 76 years-old. Adopted and proclaimed by the United Nations on 10 December 1948, this document marked a turning point as regards compliance with the fundamental rights and freedoms of every human being, without distinction of any kind. Day by day, working in the most difficult areas of the world, the women and men of the Defence protect these inalienable rights without which there would be no freedom or justice.
