On 1st March, 1961 the Air Force Frecce Tricolori were born

Since their early start in 1961, at Rivolto Military Airport, 313th Aerobatic Training Group-Frecce Tricolori inherited a collective aerobatic tradition which was peculiar to Italy, rooting back in 1929.

They fly the MB-339A-PAN aircraft, in the version equipped with smoke systems, which allow the National Aerobatic Team to paint the sky, the world over, with the colours of the Italian flag.

Among the awards collected by the Frecce Tricolore we would like to recall the Guinness World Records, achieved on 18 June 2022: the National Aerobatic Team was inducted in the Book of Records for being the team who flies the most aerobatic exhibitions at world level and has most jet aircraft in a military aerobatic display team.
