"Today, in a videoconference with our colleagues from the E5 Defense Group (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom), we took stock of the delicate situation in Iran and the Middle East and assessed possible joint initiatives, especially at the diplomatic level, to try to restore stability in the region.  
The current crisis requires responsibility and coordination among Allies to avoid further escalation and to jointly address the impact of this serious crisis, not only in terms of security but also in terms of the economy and energy, while ensuring continuity in our support for Ukraine." Thus stated Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.
