Recently, the Italian Military Support Base (BMIS) donated various material to the Artà Community, and in particular to the Regional Council and Youth Development Centre which, during the ceremony, expressed their gratitude and closeness to the BMIS and the Italian people for the large and appreciated aid.

The President of the Regional Council, Mr. Elmi Bouh Goudadeh, expressed his gratitude for what has been done to support the Artà Community, and for the Italian ability to be always present and available.

The Italian Military Support Base (BMIS) located in Djibouty carries out a support function for military and coalition operations implemented in the Horn of Africa. As a joint contingent, BMIS plays mainly a support role dedicated to a number of national and foreign-countries’ assets; its work, however, includes also Civilian and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) actions developed in various capacities.
