With regard to information published today in the foreign press in connection with the return of the Task Group SAMP-T battery deployed in Slovakia, the Ministry of Defence declared : “The end of NATO defensive mission enhanced Vigilance Activity (eVA) in Slovakia had been scheduled at the beginning of next April in the agreement concluded by the two countries and within the broader framework of the Atlantic Alliance. The deployment of the SAMP-T system in Slovakia was a temporary proportioned defensive measure supporting NATO’s role in the defence of member countries and Euro-Atlantic areas, aimed to guarantee deterrence from from potential threats.
