DEFENCE MINISTERY: NAVY SHIP “VESPUCCI” SETS SAIL FROM BUENOS AIRES FOR A NEW LEG OF WORLD TOUR 2023-2025

Navy Ship Vespucci – Ambassador of Made in Italy across the world – will stop in Buenos Aires from 17 to 21 March. A number of initiatives will be implemented to illustrate the Italian culture and excellencies to countries the world over. 
The Buenos Aires leg kicks off the second phase of the Vespucci World Tour, ending in 2025. 

The initiative was strongly supported by Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, who, on its start in Genoa, said: “All those countries will not simply see the arrival of the most beautiful ship in the world, but Italy itself”. Cadets’ traditional training activities and the promotion of the excellencies of Made in Italy will both be implemented aboard our sailboat. 

On the occasion of the Buenos Aires stop, Amerigo Vespucci will open the doors of her exhibition area, “Villaggio Italia”, where the activities organized by participating Ministries will be implemented. Thus, the sailboat world tour, besides ex pressing the values of the entire Nation, will also showcase Made in Italy products, i.e. the engine of Italian economy, while disseminate the Italian culture. A significant opportunity also for Italian industrial realities in Argentina. The agenda of events includes concerts, conferences and cinematic events. It will allow meeting the Italian culture and illustrating the deep link between Italy and Argentina.

The ship left on 1st July 2023 from Genoa Port for her world tour. The initiative is implemented in cooperation with Difesa Servizi SpA, the branch company of the Ministry of Defence, which will support all the phases of the campaign.
