“The tragedy of the Italian and all other victims of the Foibe, and the dramatic exodus of exiles from Istria, Dalmatia and Fiume in the aftermath of WWII continues to be a heart-wrenching page in the history of our country. Painful, probably still little known events, whose remembrance we are celebrating today, the only tool left to prevent oblivion”.
