Corsa dei Santi, man taken ill: military medical personnel from the Villaggio Difesa intervene

During the Corsa dei Santi, near the Villaggio Difesa in Rome, a man suffered a severe sudden illness, suspected to be cardiac arrest.

Military medical personnel from the Villaggio Difesa's Advanced Medical Post intervened immediately, providing first aid with the help of a defibrillator.

Following the call to emergency services (118), the man was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
