My congratulations to the new French Minister of the Armed Forces, Bruno Le Maire, for this prestigious appointment. I am certain that he will continue along the path traced by his predecessor, my friend Sébastien Lecornu – now called to serve France as Prime Minister – who helped build a solid relationship of cooperation between our countries in the field of Defense. I am confident that, with the new Minister, we will be able to further strengthen the cooperation between Italy and France for the benefit of our common security. I extend to him my best wishes for success in his work.
