Ceremony for the return of the National Aerobatic Team

“The lesson learned from this ceremony is that we build the future by training day by day, by the work of a large number of people, by implementing synergies and having the ability to look forward”, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto stated on the occasion held at the Istrana (Treviso Province) Air Force Base for the return of the National Aerobatic Team (PAN) from its North America tour.

The minister addressed his speech to the personnel engaged in the PAN 2024 North America Tour, underscoring the role PAN plays for its country.

“You are a symbol, an emblem: you represent Frecce Tricolori, a team that has a place in our souls and hearts, that is part of our history and of which we are proud”.

During the tour that has just ended, Frecce Tricolori took part in nine International Air Shows, performing seventeen fly-overs in Canada and the United States to take the Tricolour and the Italian excellence on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean while promoting our national industry.

In his speech, the Minister also underscored the role of Defence and the importance to be always at the cutting edge in this ever-changing world.

“I am here today to underscore the importance that we, the Armed Forces , have had, have and will have for our country”.

During the ceremony the new PAN aircraft, M346, and the new Frecce Tricolori livery were presented to the public. The livery was inspired by the Renaissance of the Tricolour.

The ceremony saw the participation of the Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Gian Marco Centinaio, Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, Under Secretary of State for Defence Matteo Perego di Cremnago, Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Air Force Chief General Luca Goretti, civil, military and religious authorities.
