Iron Strike 24, an exercise aimed to test the operational capabilities of the Forward Land Force Battle Group Bulgaria, presently under Italy’s command, recently concluded at Novo Selo Training Area.
Joint exercises are an important moment of professional growth for the Multinational Tactical Group deployed in Bulgaria.
The activity that has just ended, in fact, saw troops and fixed and mobile command posts from NATO Battle Group deployed on the terrain, with the objective of spotting and neutralizing enemy units.
Iron Strike, which took place from 7 to 10 May, saw the participation of approximately 500 military, with over 100 vehicles and combat platforms of various NATO countries deployed as components of the local Battle Group.
Operations conduct by the Italian Armed Forces on NATO’s eastern flank are directed by the Chief of Defence Staff, with the coordination and command of the Joint Operations Command (COVI).
