He wasn’t on duty. He was simply at the beach when he saw a man in obvious distress in the water, struck by a sudden illness.

An Army soldier didn’t hesitate: together with another swimmer, he dove in to reach the man and bring him to safety. Then, while waiting for the ambulance to arrive, he helped perform life-saving maneuvers alongside the others present.

A spontaneous act, marked by quick thinking, courage, and a sense of duty.
