79th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic

On the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic, the traditional celebrations will take place in Rome on June 2, 2025, in the presence of the President of the Republic and the highest institutional authorities, at the Altare della Patria and along the Via dei Fori Imperiali.

The theme of the celebrations is: “Defending the Republic, Serving the Nation.”

PRESS PROGRAM
09:15 – Altare della Patria: wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
10:00 – Military parade along Via dei Fori Imperiali

ACCREDITATION PROCEDURE
Journalists, photographers, and video operators wishing to attend must send an accreditation request by 6:30 PM on May 27, 2025, to the following email: festa.repubblica@smd.difesa.it, including the following information:

Surname and First Name

Place and Date of Birth

Affiliated Media Outlet or Agency

ID Document Number (only Identity Card or Passport accepted)

Press Card Number (journalists only)

Phone Number (preferably mobile) and Email Address

Incomplete requests will not be processed.

NOTES
Due to different designated press areas along the Via dei Fori Imperiali, the request must clearly specify whether it is a:

“PRESS ACCREDITATION REQUEST FOR JOURNALISTS”

“PRESS ACCREDITATION REQUEST FOR TV/RADIO CREWS”

“PRESS ACCREDITATION REQUEST FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEO OPERATORS”

and whether coverage is requested for:
a) Ceremony at the Altare della Patria
b) Military Parade along Via dei Fori Imperiali
c) Both events

Based on requests and availability, numbered and named PRESS PASSES will be issued.
Further instructions regarding collection, return, and dedicated entry (Largo Visconti Venosta/Via Cavour, Metro stop “Cavour”, from 07:00 to 09:00 on June 2, 2025) will be sent via email to accredited individuals.

ON-SITE ACCREDITATION WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
