17 Palestinian children in need of urgent care transferred to Italy

"The true strength of a country is measured by its ability to protect the most vulnerable. In the face of the innocent suffering of children — in this case, from the Gaza Strip — every difference dissolves, every border loses meaning. This is not just a humanitarian intervention. It is an act of responsibility, one of many we have undertaken. A moral duty that calls us as a State, as a community, and as human beings.
Behind every mission like this are eyes filled with fear, but also hearts that have not stopped hoping — like those of little Adam, who will arrive in Italy together with his mother. Offering a chance for care, for a future, to those who suffer is the greatest gesture we can make. And as a Minister, but above all as a father, I am deeply proud of it.
I sincerely thank the personnel of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Civil Protection, the Italian healthcare facilities, and all those who made this mission of life and hope possible."
This was stated by the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, regarding the operation to transfer 17 Palestinian children in urgent need of medical care and 53 family members to Italy aboard Italian Air Force aircraft.
