161st Anniversary of the Founding of the Italian Red Cross

"A symbol that embodies a promise of help. For 161 years, the Italian Red Cross has stood by the most vulnerable, extending a hand in every circumstance, in emergencies as well as in everyday life. For over a century and a half, it has served the community with dedication, often alongside the personnel of the Armed Forces. Happy anniversary, on behalf of myself and the entire Defense Ministry, to a true stronghold of humanity and care for our Nation."

Thus declared the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, on the occasion of the 161st anniversary of the founding of the Italian Red Cross.
