Bilateral relations, defence cooperation and collaboration in the industrial, economic and commercial sectors: these were the topics of the fruitful talks held this morning between Defence Minister Guido Crosetto and the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
The bilateral meeting followed the two ministers' telephone conversation on November 24th, during which the two high officials reaffirmed the desire to intensify cooperation between Italy and Indonesia.
The ministers agreed on the importance of security as an essential factor for a country's growth and prosperity.
Minister Prabowo Subianto expressed his appreciation for Italy's commitment to the current geostrategic framework and its technological excellence.
The Armed Forces of Italy and Indonesia already work together in the framework of UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) in favour of peace and stability.
