"Literature is culture, culture is dialogue, dialogue often leads to peace. This is the sense of the Defence presence at the Book Fair. Its publishing products pass on the values, history and passion of women and men in uniform", Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, said today in Turin, on the opening day of the 35th International Book Fair, in which the Ministry of Defence participates with its own spaces and events.
Upon his arrival, the Minister visited the Defence stand that, from today until 22 May, will host the presentation of over 30 events and publications.
The Defence space intends to illustrate to the public various aspects of the military world, from technological innovation - which is fundamental to face the new challenges that characterise modern operational scenarios - to its historical and cultural roots.
Afterwards, Minister Crosetto took part in the presentation of the book by journalist Maurizio Molinari and dwelt on Italy's role in the new chessboard of the enlarged Mediterranean.
