Globalization, as it has come into sight, has been outright reliant on fossil fuels. As a consequence, Energy Security is the pivotal issue in both political and economic strategies of the world most significant countries. It clearly appears today, despite years of misleading information on the status of world proven oil and gas reserves, that the most crucial issues in order to face energy security are security of transportations and adequate investments on exploration.
This means that there is, and even more there will be in the future, the necessity of managing a complex equation of political actions at both domestic and international level, as well as a very careful but incisive monitoring on industry?s efforts in research, developments and exploration. In addition, the alleged interaction ?CO2 ? Global Warming? seems leading to new evolutionary political efforts to pursue conservation, greater efficiencies and alternatives.
This conference is planned to offer its public a wide-ranging appraisal of the issues directly connected to the energy supplying, of the decisions that the Atlantic Alliance is supposed to take on that regard, of the global implications of nowadays Middle Eastern dynamics, and, finally, of the possible strategic options potentially positively affecting the evolution of the energy market for the Atlantic Alliance.
Panelists are chosen from the industry, the security, and the business community. This conference will be interesting to the national security and international relations experts, to the military officers and to the media.
